Smokey Contours
I wanted to paint that lopsided, unhurried headspace where time stretches out and everything goes a little soft. The black outlines hold it all together while the greens and yellows underneath drift and bleed, so the face feels both solid and melting at once. I gave the two eyes completely different energy on purpose — one low and heavy-lidded, the other big and a beat behind — because that's how the mood actually sits behind your eyes. The little geometric patterns in the corners are the leftover noise around the edges, the stuff your mind keeps half-noticing. It's a mellow, drifting kind of piece, and I had fun letting it stay a bit off-balance.
